Wonder: Experiences of Nature, Curiosity, and Play at the Bell Museum

The Bell Museum has a new interactive and fun exhibit made especially for kids! Wonder: Experiences of Nature, Curiosity, and Play is now on view through June 7th and features everything from a life-size playable diorama to a super popular ride-on bike.

Hannah's kids especially loved the tent and trailer areas where they could play with shadows and dream about summer camping adventures. While you're there, make sure to stop by the Touch and See Lab - if the timing is right you can check out the resident snakes or even hold a cockroach if you’re feeling brave!

Join in the Annual Ladybug Release at Mall of America

Did you know that the Mall of America uses thousands of ladybugs instead of pesticides to keep its 30,000 plants healthy? Their spring release is such a cool tradition, and you can actually join in the fun for free this year!

The annual ladybug release is happening on Tuesday, April 7th, at 6:00 AM inside Nickelodeon Universe. It’s an amazing way for both kids and adults to get hands-on with nature right inside the mall, plus you can even earn some MOA Insiders bonus points for participating.

While the early morning start is a bit of a bright and early wake-up call, it’s a truly unique experience. Just make sure to register ahead of time to secure your spot!

Free Storytimes at Kiddywampus

If you’re looking for a fun way to get out of the house with the little kids, the free storytimes at Kiddywampus are such a great option!

This locally owned toy store is AWESOME, and they host these weekly sessions at all three of their locations in Hopkins, St. Louis Park, and Chanhassen.

The storytimes run through the end of April and are perfect for children ages 2-5, though siblings and caregivers are always welcome to join the fun. It’s such a great way to spend a morning, especially on those remaining cold or rainy spring days when you just need a break from the outdoor gear and want something engaging for the little ones.
