Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend. Yesterday sure was a beautiful day. We spent it outside doing chores, but the nice weather made it enjoyable, especially since we were up at my childhood home and the birds were super talkative: trumpeter swans, sandhill cranes, woodpeckers, owl, eagles and more!

Minnesota Yarn Shop Hop

If you love to knit or crochet, this is the hop for you! April 3 through 6, twelve yarn shops from Northfield in the South of the metro up to North Branch North of the metro are all participating in the Yarn Shop Hop.

This is a great opportunity to visit yarn shops that may be new to you while taking part in the festive event with new yarns, door prizes and more. Each shop has commissioned a specialty yarn just for the hop with a free pattern using that yarn available to all hoppers.

It's also a fund raising event for local food shelves. You can even buy a Yarn Shop Hop passport to check off the stores you visit and be entered into a special prize drawing if you make it to all 12!

Long Drive In Opening for the Season!

Drive in theaters are now few and far between, but luckily we still have a handful of them in Minnesota!

Long Drive-In Theatre in Long Prairie in Central Minnesota opens for the season this Thursday. They have been in business since 1956!

One thing that is super fun about a drive-in is that they play two different movies per night and you can come early and stay to watch BOTH for just one admission charge.

NOTE: We also just found out that the Starlite Drive-In will open for the season before the end of April!

2026 Wisconsin City Wide Rummage Sales

You probably know by now that the Minnesota City Wide Garage Sale list is pretty much my "baby" and is a major focus this time of year - and will continue to!

But about 5 years ago I also added a Wisconsin list since so many Minnesotans live within an hour of Wisconsin and lots more end up visiting there during the summer season. So that brings us to this list!

Just like the Minnesota List, this is a huge compilation of citywide and neighborhood wide garage sales, yard sales and as I have found they are very popularly known as RUMMAGE SALES all across Wisconsin.
