The Right Thing to Do: The Joe Mauer Story at Stages Theatre Company

The new musical at Stages Theatre Company in Hopkins is a great pick for local sports fans. "The Right Thing to Do: The Joe Mauer Story" is based on the children’s book by Joe Schmit and follows the Minnesota Twins legend from his childhood through histeenage years.

It is a really heartening story that focuses on a young Joe learning about the importance of kindness and friendship. While the message of friendship is deep, the songs are catchy and light-hearted.

The production is an amazing option for a family outing since it's just 60 minutes long and perfect for all ages. It is a fun and easy way to spend an afternoon at the theater celebrating a local hero while the show runs through May 10th.
