Happy Friday! I'm back from vacation, but dragging a bit. Our morning flight had almost every type of issue imaginable including mechanical problem, airline screw-ups, flight crew timing out, needing to refuel, weather, etc. and ended up not leaving until after midnight. It's good to be home though, even if we did walk out of the airport into super smoky air!

When planning for the weekend, keep in mind that some events may have changed schedules because of the smoke (i.e. Minnehaha Art Fair is starting Saturday instead of today). Luckily the smoke is expected to lighten up over the weekend.
For the weekend, check out our Events page and Attractions page and also SO MANY towns (24 to be exact) with Summer Festivals this weekend like Pequot Lakes Bean Hole Days, Maple Grove Days, Hastings Rivertown Days, Nevis Muskie Days, Hewitt Picklefest and more. There are also 12 Minnesota county fairs happening this weekend.

Minnehaha Falls Art Fair
It's time again for the Minnehaha Falls Art Fair! The weekend (Saturday and Sunday) is filled to the brim with tons of fun.
The highlight of the event, of course is over 200 artists on-site showing off their creations. As part of the fairs mission for art to be affordable for all, every artist booth will have some items for sale under $30.
You'll also find lots of music at the fair with local musicians, choirs, dance troupes and more.
Another popular part of the event is the Vintage and Funky Fest returning for the 4th year with vintage vendors, unique goods, food trucks and a DJ spinning tunes.
Can you believe that Stillwater has been celebrating Lumberjack Days for 92 years?!
This year's event runs today through Sunday with lots of fun planned with a medallion hunt, parade, boat cruise, lumberjack demonstrations, mini golf, food vendors, downhill derby, live music, and more.
A big highlight is the parade on Sunday and checking the line-up they look to have over 90 entries!
Twins Community Fund Free Youth Baseball and Softball Clinics
We're getting late in the summer, but there's still time to register you child for a FREE baseball clinic!
Thanks to the Twins Community Fund, kids ages 6-12 can attend free youth baseball and softball clinics at over 30 cities throughout the state and there are multiple sessions at some locations.
The clinics include two hours of fundamental instruction in a fun and positive atmosphere. They're open to kids of all abilities who want to play baseball and softball, including those who don't have any playing experience.
Check the list to find the location nearest you and pre-register your child.
