Kites on Ice Festival - Buffalo

Head out onto Buffalo Lake Saturday to see the sky filled with kites and to fly your own too! (Kites will also be available at the event.)

At this event organized by the Buffalo Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau they'll also have other free activities as well as warm drinks and food vendors.

With the warm up, they measured the ice yesterday and announced the ice is safe. This is a free event!

Winterfest at Minnesota Zoo

Celebrate winter at the Minnesota Zoo this Sunday an Monday (President's Day) with Winterfest!

Spend it outside and enjoy the warmer winter day with a guided hike where an expert guide will open your eyes to the many signs of wildlife in winter and share how animals survive and thrive in the cold season. Another outdoor option is yoga under the winter sky.

If you still want a chance to warm up and enjoy the much more balmy summer-type temperatures indoors, join in wellness activities and wintry fun inside. There are also kids games, crafts, DJs and so much more!!

Ely Winter Festival - Last Weekend!

This is the last weekend of the Ely Winter Festival and tomorrow is the Ely Nordic Loppet and Cocoa Cup!

The Hot Cocoa Cup race is FREE. The 5k, 10k and 20k have a small registration fee that supports the Ely Nordic Ski & Bike Club and the maintenance of their beautiful trail system. There will also be a live music concert, winter hikes and more.
