πŸ“š Hooked on Books πŸ›’ Tare Warehouse Sale 🧢 Makers Market ⭐ Free Breakfast + More!

Welcome to the Wednesday Newsletter. It's a gray day here, but I'm just happy we didn't get snow. Are you far enough north to have gotten any? I know we'll all likely still get more this winter (and maybe a LOT) but a bit of a break is nice!

If you missed Monday's newsletter you can still see it here. The info about Minnesota Fix-It Clinics has been very popular and we also covered the new Boundless Playspace in Rochester and the upcoming Urban Expedition events at Landmark Center where you can experience cultures around the world (including this weekend).

Below we've got three things you can plan for the weekend plus (as always) there is more to choose from on the Events and Attractions tabs at the top of the website.

I'll talk to you again for the Friday newsletter. In the meantime you can keep up with us on Facebook or the website! Thank you for reading. You're the best!

Textile Center Fiber Arts for All Makers Market

The All Makers Market happening this weekend at the Textile Center offers the chance to shop goods from local fiber artists AND a chance to learn about fiber arts yourself!

The event is expanded to two days this year, both Saturday and Sunday, with over 25 local artists showing their art for purchase.

There are also hands-on-demos where you can try things like block printing, needle felting, punch needle and more. See everything you can expect this weekend and check the schedule so you don't miss what interests you most.

Hooked on Books at Chanhassen High School

Encouraging the love of books is the focus for this FREE community event in Chanhassen this Saturday morning.

The event takes over Chanhassen High School with a variety of free, educational and fun events including book readings, crafts, games with book prizes, music, dance and theater performances, an obstacle course and more.

There are so many different activities available that you'll want to take a look at the list ahead of time to make sure you can hit the ones that interest your family the most! All activities are free and books are avaialble for purchase.

Tare Market Warehouse Sale

We love a good warehouse sale and this weekend you can shop the one at Tare Market in Minneapolis!

Tare Market is a zero waste waste store– meaning they sell products to consumers without the packaging. Think shampoo, tea, cleaning supplies, spices, etc. but you bring or purchase your own container. Shopping this way is a wonderful way to make a sustainable difference!

Their wearehouse sale is a chance to grab some of these products with a discount of 15-50% off on various products throughout the store.

Thrifty Minnesota is reader-supported. If you buy something through our links, I may earn a small commission. As an Amazon associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Get the details for these deals and more on the Current Great Deals Page.

The latest freebie is a FREE Chick-fil-A breakfast chicken biscuit with no purchase necessary. The Cesar dog food sample and others are still available.

Target is having a Valentine's Mix & Match event at all stores on 2/14 with giveaways! Limit one per guest while supplies last.

Later today I'll be sharing a link for free passes to see HOPPERS from Disney-Pixar. It will likely be sometime late afternoon or evening. Since I don't know the exact time and there will only be a limited amount AND I want newsletter subscribers to have the best chance of getting passes, I have an idea. If this is something you're really hoping to get, just respond to this email to let me know and I will send you an email 15 minutes before the free pass link goes live.

There's a great new Chatbooks offer to get 6 Photo Books for just $6 with FREE shipping!

Help Request: If you happen to see a current or upcoming freebie or deal at a local restaurant or store or anything that makes you think - "Wow, this is pretty good!" please send it over or share in our Facebook group. With more eyes on the lookout we can all score more great deals and freebies!

For online shopping deals there's a big Lands End sale with up to 75% off, the Kaytee Wild Bird Nut & Fruit Seed Treat Bell pictured above 69% off, Nordstrom rack boot sale up to 80% off (same with outwear and sweaters), Stanley bottles/tumblers up to 45% off and more.

The Minneapolis Home + Garden Show starts a week from today and there's still time to save 50% off adult tickets. Can't wait for this glimpse of spring!

Check out the deals page for more deals and freebies!
