Happy Friday! It's a pretty dreary day here and it looks like we might get some snow, but I'm sure with the super warm day Sunday it should melt, right?

The big weekend news is that Daylight Savings Time is back so we will get more light in our evenings again. Don't forget to change any of your clocks that don't do it automatically!

First Saturday Science at Metro State University

The fun First Saturday Science event at Metropolitan State University is this Saturday, March 7th! Geared toward kids in kindergarten through 8th grade, the activities are FREE and fun for the whole family.

The workshops are led and planned by university student workers, university STEM students, interns from the Science Museum of Minnesota, faculty, staff, and other community partners.

This month is all about Cosmetic Chemistry. If you've ever wondered how health and beauty products are made, this is your chance to find out and to make your own lip balm while learning the science behind lotions, sunscreens and bath fizzes.

Minnesota Awesome Spring Warehouse Sale

Plan ahead for this fan favorite warehouse sale happening this week!

The Minnesota Awesome Spring Warehouse Sale runs this coming Thursday through Saturday (3/12-14) in Edina featuring their fun Minnesota-themed clothing and accessories.

Over 10,000 shirt and sweatshirts that will be for sale at discount prices including mess-ups 3 for $10, clearance hoodies for $20, a $1 table and more. There is no entrance fee.

Dodge Nature Center Pancake Breakfast

Bring the family to a delicious pancake breakfast with pure maple syrup hosted by Dodge Nature Center where you can also learn about the process of maple sap collection and syrup production.

This is a free event, but donations to support environmental education for all at the Dodge Nature Center and Preschool are appreciated.

After breakfast, explore the Minnesota springtime tradition of maple syruping. On a naturalist-led hike, youโ€™ll learn about the process of maple sap collection and syrup production.
